After setting the music scene on fire with their last album Hello Future, NCT DREAM is back to get fans moving with their second full-length album Glitch Mode. With MARK, RENJUN, JENO, HAECHAN, JAEMIN, CHENLE, and JISUNG back to delight NCTzens, the new album will get you up on your feet showcasing all the group has to offer.

Already topping 38 million views on YouTube, the title track “Glitch Mode” serves as the perfect introduction to the album. The hip-hop dance wittily expresses the idea of freezing, as if buffering, in front of the person they like. “Glitch Mode” brings together all the 8-bit game sounds and high energy that NCT DREAM is known for. The colorful music video plays into the video game feel with the members working at a game store with their alternate selves behind the controls and visually shows the feeling of falling in love and changing to 'Glitch Mode.' With “Glitch Mode,” NCT DREAM finds a way to show a feeling both visually and create a sound that transports you to another dimension for a unique experience. The song gives all the summer vibes for a good road trip or even if you need to get hyped during a study session.

The 11 tracks on the album all bring something fresh to the table. Kicking off the tracklist is “Fire Alarm” which sets the tone for Glitch Mode with its intense and energetic beat. “Saturday Drip” gives off retro 90’s hip-hop vibes for a good time, which leads into the festive swaggy bop “Better Than Gold.” The B-side song “Arcade” also offers a fun hip-hop dance beat while playing off the feeling of entering and exiting an arcade game.

NCT DREAM also tapped into more emotional rhythms and lyrics in the album. Slower tracks like “It’s Yours,” “Never Goodbye,” and “Teddy Bear” give warm lyrics to swoon to, while “Drive” also provides comfort while you listen. The album wraps with “Rewind” a breezy upbeat track showcasing the group’s talented vocals.

Upon its release on March 28, Glitch Mode placed first on the Hanteo and Gaon charts, a feat proving that the million sellers are here to stay. It also ranked first in 28 regions around the world, including Taiwan, the Philippines, Brunei, Peru, Slovakia, Nigeria, the United Arab Emirates, and Belarus. It’s a worthy follow-up to their May 2021 release Hot Sauce which surpassed 3.42 million sales and topped the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 37 regions around the world.
