Fresh off their sold-out US Showcase tour in Los Angeles and New York, aespa —KARINA, GISELLE, WINTER, and NINGNING— are back with their new mini-album Girls.

Kicking off the title track of the same name, “Girls” is an anthemic pop track giving fans powerful lyrics to face struggles. The music video shows the girls going through multiple metaverses on a mission to bring peace to KWANGYA all while their villain Black Mamba remains in their midst. With references to their past tracks and appearances from their avatars “nævis,” the music video brings the concept to life.

Their previously released track “Illusion” gave fans a sneak peek of the album, building up the hype. “Illusion” continues the high-energy sound with strong vibes that can be heard throughout the tracklist. Keeping up with the fun songs, the genre-bending “Lingo” offers a fun summer track that will make you get up and dance.

The girls take a break from fighting evil with the track “Life’s Too Short” which takes on a softer approach. In both the Korean and English versions, the breezy track is a soothing reminder to ignore the negativity and live life to the fullest. The English version also marks their first US single to be released.

Keeping with the calm vibes, “ICU” brings out the softer side giving the perfect chill song when you need to wind down. Girls also features the hit track “Black Mamba” and “Forever” which is the first time the songs will be released on a physical copy. The mini-album wraps up with “Dreams Come True” which fans heard through SM STATION last year.

The quartet previewed the choreography of “Illusion” for the first time during their US showcase tour and got to connect with fans through a series of games. They also continued their historic year with a main stage performance at Coachella. Girls has already crossed the million-seller mark. aespa is conquering KWANGYA and the rest of the world.

aespa’s fans MYs can get their hands on the physical album at SM Global Shop with various versions including KWANGYA, Real World, Digipack, and International. All versions have goodies including exclusive photocards and a poster along with the Girls CD. But if you want to go all out, deluxe boxes with a notepad, bandanas, and more are available to show off your favorite group.
